Prototype environment

This is a prototype, not the real app

It's a sandbox for trying out an idea quickly — fake data, no real backend calls, no production credentials — before anyone commits to actually building it.

Hand off

A developer picks it up and builds it for real

A few ground rules

Worth knowing whether you're typing this by hand or pairing with an AI agent.

Where fake data lives

Keep it in data/ as plain .json files — never call a real API from here. Note it in HANDOFF.md so whoever picks this up later knows what's fake.

If you're pairing with Claude

It reads AGENTS.md / CLAUDE.md first — that's what tells it to ask before installing anything, and to keep HANDOFF.md up to date as it works.

Keep it light

Only add what you actually need right now. Nothing production-related belongs here: no real credentials, no internal packages, no real client data.

Running it locally

open index.html

No build step, no install — just open the file in a browser. For a local server with live reload, use VS Code's "Live Server" extension, or run python3 -m http.server.
